Brute-forcing router passwords using BackTrack 5 – [Video]

Hey guys..! I was surfing over internet and found a wonderful video which I thought to share with you guys. This video was uploaded over YouTube by FitzysFury. Well we are least bothered about who this FitzysFury is but rather I would be interested to talk about what’s happening in this video. This video demonstrates Router Hacking, that is, you can take a complete access over the Wi-Fi router. Than what’s next??? You are in the network!!

Here he uses BackTrack 5 to perform a brute force attack over the gateway login. Hydra is a brute force tool that comes within BackTrack. Hydra is a Linux-based tool. You can also download Hydra for your Linux systems at http://www.thc.org/thc-hydra/.
